COMMISSION PHOTO GUIDELINES
The better quality photo(s) you can provide, better the result. Having more “inventing” by my imagination will make the image very stiff and disconnected to the eye.
All animal types are welcome, cats, dogs, horses, rabbits etc.
Since these works are NOT meant to focus on the face features like human portraits and my last series of commission work, getting a full body image and background is key. To capture your pets personality, let’s think of how we really remember our pets- the goofiness, funny sleeping positions in their favorite spot of the house, drenched in mud after going rogue during a walk..or just swimming in the backyard river together. covering the house in couch cushion foam, favorite costumes we all love torturing them with, or even a first time mom feeding the litter.
“Red Lights”
These are the things I will not be able to work with.
Portrait close up, “Head only”
Photos of developed photos, Screenshots of a photo, or Polaroids
Blown out red eyes or using a Flash from your camera
Filters on your image, blur effects or “Portrait Mode” are rarely usable
“Green Lights”
These are the things I will be able to create above average works with.
Whole body, with scene behind
Clear, focused shots (wipe your camera lens clean, no foggy shots)
Memorable moments that have a story behind them. A short description of the image should have an important memory/milestone behind it you can tell me
Single light source, refer to the image below describing light/shadow line
Quirky or specific fur patterns is a great thing to emphasize
Email up to 10 Photo choices to Ericwarner1718@gmail.com for consideration to be used, we’ll both look them over and see the best options for painting.
